Rampant Ellingham & Ringwood Women lift sixth straight Lytchett Minster Sevens title




ELLINGHAM and Ringwood Women have won the Lytchett Minster Sevens title for the sixth consecutive year after beating all four other teams.

The E&R Women enjoyed competitive rugby against the others – Oakmeadians, Dursley, North Dorset and Swanage & Wareham – with all players having a pivotal role in their success.

After the team had picked up their trophy, the Ellingham and Ringwood coach Henry Benson said: “I was especially proud of our U18s players Jess Gollop and Sophie Wilding, who stepped up once again to the senior game and played fantastically well.”

Over the course of the tournament, Ellingham and Ringwood scored 15 tries through Jasmine Rampton (seven), Libby A. Rose (three), Georgia Gilson (two), Jess Lawrance (two) and Jordan Lench. Meanwhile, Jasmine Rampton kicked 10 conversions, with the other two kicked by captain Charlotte Smith.
