AFC Totton took a 3-0 lead but left with just a point against a stubborn Dorchester Town at the Snows Stadium

Tony Lee, who finished with a brace, scored for the first time since rejoining from Poole Town, while Luke Hallett and Scott Rendell grabbed the others.

When Lee buried the opener in the 18th minute, the contest became an end-to-end affair, with both teams playing directly.

Hallett made it two before the half-time whistle, beating the keeper to a header and making it seem like a routine victory was on the cards for the Stags.

AFC Totton’s fine form continued in the second half, with Rendell converting a penalty on the hour mark to boost their lead.

However, there was a twist to proceedings as Olaf Koszela scored just two minutes later, reigniting Dorchester’s belief.

The momentum shifted, and Will Spetch scored a second for Dorchester, giving the Magpies fans hope of a comeback.

Although the game was competitive, it was a scrappy affair and another penalty was awarded, this time for the away team. Will Fletcher levelled to dampen the home crowd’s fervour.

With it all to play for, AFC Totton’s man-of-the-match Lee silenced the away fans’ chants after converting a one-on-one chance with the keeper, slotting into the bottom corner.

However, as the match wound to its conclusion, former Stag Shaquille Gwengwe equalised with a late goal, bringing an enthralling match to a close.

Totton will look to bounce back away at strugglers Didcot Town on Saturday at 3pm.
