Walhampton School pupils enjoy inaugural school triathlon

WALHAMPTON School hosted their first children’s triathlon with over 106 participants aged between seven and 13.

The children competed in teams covering the swim, bike, and run distances as a relay.

After a swim in the pool they cycled and ran around the Walhampton grounds, collecting finisher stamps as they went.

The triathlon was a fundraising event for the Walhampton School Foundation Trust, a charity whose main purpose is the provision of bursaries to broaden access to Walhampton.

The sun shone, and everyone had great fun participating and cheering on their friends and teammates.

Walhampton hopes to make this an annual event and open up to other schools next year.
