Burley Food & Drink Festival returns for 2022
BURLEY Food & Drink Festival is back this year with a jam-packed programme featuring live music, art, tarot reading, kids' trails and vintage cars.
The much-anticipated event, which was called off last year due to Covid, will be held at Manor Park between May 27th and 29th. New for 2022 will be family camping.
Across the three days the village will be transformed with stalls brimming with local produce including cheeses, meats, artisan breads and organic vegetables. The Outside Inn Bar will be serving up ales, ciders, gins, cocktails and wines.
A variety of local bands playing jazz, blues, soul and funk will perform across two stages, one set under a beautiful old oak tree.
The festival is being organised by Mojo Events, which is promoting the weekend as the perfect way to kick off the summer.
"What could be better than whiling away the hours eating and drinking some amazing local artisan produce and listening to some fabulous live music and acoustic sounds with friends and family," said a spokesperson.
"Come the evening, festival goers can kick back and relax on a picnic rug in the beautiful New Forest and fall asleep under the stars."
Children will be well catered for, with a designated area of activities including storytelling, face painting, free workshops and trampolines and castles for them to bounce on.
The mystic area, in a relaxed, ambient setting, will feature tarot readings and stalls selling trinkets and keepsakes.
Burley's shops and villages will also be running window displays, trails, and competitions for kids, and visitors are encouraged to take in all that Burley has to offer.
Local artists will be showcasing their works in the Forest Craft Marquee, and workshops can be booked for children and adults looking to expand their skills.
The vintage arena will feature a variety of classic vehicles, retro fashion and collectables.
