Lymington company Boat Beds and Charter launches ride and gourmet burger nights

FOR those looking for a bit of affordable luxury as the evenings start to draw out, a romantic river cruise followed by dinner on the water is sure to be just the ticket.

A step-up from your standard pub grub in a beer garden, Lymington-based Boat Beds and Charter is promising to create a memorable experience with the launch of its yacht ride and gourmet burger nights.

Bookings between 6pm and 8pm are available for up to six guests, who are welcomed on-board the motor yacht with a complimentary glass of fizz.

Once seated, a qualified skipper will take them on a gentle and relaxing trip up the river to enjoy breath-taking views while the sun goes down over the water.

The boat will then return to its mooring at the beautiful Berthon Marina in Bath Road, where a pre-ordered mouthwatering ‘burger in a box’ prepared by The Eatery in Milford will be speedily delivered.

Served in a brioche bun with chunky chips and slaw on the side, the eye-catching burgers, including the Mother Flippin CB, Truffle Tower and Alioli Attack, have earned a reputation for their tastiness. There is also a gluten-free and vegan option.

A waitress will also be serving drinks from the on-board bar, including Prosecco, beer and soft drinks.

For a private dining experience within the unique setting of Lymington River, the service, with free parking, offers good value for money at £60 per person. For the same price there is also a breakfast, brunch or lunch option, or upgrade to a champagne breakfast for £99 per person.

Guests must not wear heeled shoes and are urged to wrap up warm for their trip.

Boat Beds and Charter also offers private and corporate charter and sailing days for up to 12 guests per boat. Breakfast is included, along with a complimentary drink, tea and coffee, paddle boards and towels. Guests can add lunch or dinner, and additional drinks are available from the on-board bar. RIB rides and stop-offs can also be arranged.

For those dreaming of the ultimate vacation, the company also has a stylish holiday boat which sleeps up to seven guests.

Complete with all mod cons including central heating, TV, wireless internet and hair dryers, the boat has a fully stocked kitchen, two baths, inside and outside dining and even a barbecue. Guests can pay extra for day trips, personal chefs and entertainment.
