Fallen tree blocks westbound carriageway of Christchurch bypass on approach to Stoney Lane roundabout

A fallen tree is causing traffic chaos on the Christchurch bypass as rain and strong winds batter the area.

It is blocking the westbound carriageway on the approach to Stoney Lane roundabout, and traffic is being diverted.

As reported by the A&T this morning, the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the whole of the south.

Storm Henk hit southern regions of the country today (Tuesday), with rain falling on already saturated ground expected to cause flooding and some travel disruption.

The A&T has approached BCP Council for comment.
