BCP Council launches survey on play spaces in Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole as it develops new strategy

VIEWS are being sought on making play spaces across Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole welcoming to more people.

As part of BCP Council's development of its draft play strategy, feedback is being sought from users of playgrounds, skate parks, ball courts and bike tracks.

Cllr Mark Anderson, cabinet member for environment and place, said the authority was keen to ensure these spaces are inclusive for both boys and girls, and accessible to those with disabilities.

“We recognise how important play spaces are for the health, wellbeing and development of our children and young people," he said.

"And I’m pleased that we are using the opportunity to get initial feedback and views from our play area users and their families.

"Understanding what people value most will be integral to ensuring we get the best use of our play resources."

BCP Council officers will be visiting play areas over the coming weeks to gather additional feedback from users.

The survey, which will run until Monday 5th December, will include an interactive online mapping tool.
