New-look Gins Club House open for the summer season
THE Royal Southampton Yacht Club’s bar and restaurant in Beaulieu has re-opened after a major revamp.
Gins Club House, which sits alongside Beaulieu River, underwent the makeover during its usual winter closure. A new glass and chrome balustrade has been fitted to the balcony, and inside the bar and restaurant has been reorganised and decorated.
The facility in Gins Lane also has a new general manager, Lauren McCann, who joins with significant experience of hospitality and catering management.
She is looking forward to giving a warm welcome to her new clientele. “I can’t wait to greet visitors into this amazing and unique venue,” she said. “With our new look and new staff, we hope everyone will want to come and see and enjoy the changes.”
With other improvements to both the club’s own walk-ashore pontoon and large car park, Gins will be even more welcoming to visitors who come by boat or road.
The Royal Southampton Yacht Club has a vibrant membership from across the south of England, but especially from Southampton and the New Forest.
It is one of the few clubs to run a full year-round racing programme and is the UK’s leading club for inshore and offshore double-handed racing. There is also a very full cruising programme and year-round social events at Gins and in Southampton.
